FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Fargo and Moorhead leaders are seeking public input on proposed plans for replacing the 12th Avenue North Fargo and 15th Avenue North Moorhead bridge.
A federal grant was received to study the environmental impacts of the bridge in 2022.
The proposal for the project intends to improve the road and bridge to avoid future flooding closures.
Due to the level of the bridge, it has flooded frequently.
City engineers estimate the final design will be completed by the end of 2026.
“This work is at zero cost to Fargo taxpayers, it’s all federal grant. Once we have this design completed then it would give us the opportunity to start pursuing additional grant opportunities, hopefully pay for the construction of the bridge. At this point, we do not have a timeline identified
