CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - State Representative Taylor Collins of Mediapolis says there’s been a lack of punishment for educators posting about the death of Charlie Kirk.
He’s calling on the Board of Regents to fire those University employees.
“Quite frankly, it’s just sick any person who celebrates the death of any American, whether they be left or right, is wrong, and those individuals don’t deserve to hold a position of public trust,“ said Collins.
Tomorrow, the Iowa Board of Regents will discuss university faculty who praised Charlie Kirk’s death.
The Oskaloosa school board is also expected to discuss a high school art teacher who posted a quote, ‘One Nazi down.’
Republican Representative Collins said those types of remarks shouldn’t come from those shaping Iowa youth.
