LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One person was injured Tuesday in a crash outside of Lincoln High School.

It happened about 5 p.m. on Capitol Parkway near Randolph Street.

A Channel 8 reporter saw a car on the strip of grass lining the road, up against the fence surrounding the school.

Its front end was crushed.

There appeared to be damage to a nearby tree.

Police said one person was taken to a hospital. Their condition is unknown.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
