Tyler Robinson appeared in court for the first time on Tuesday (September 16) and photos have been released from his virtual hearing.
The 22-year-old man, who is suspected of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk , appeared to be wearing a suicide-prevention vest while joining the hearing with Judge Tony Graf from a virtual location.
Tyler was formally charged with the crime just hours earlier.
People reports that Tyler was charged with “single counts of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm and violent offense in the presence of a child, along with two counts each of obstruction of justice and witness tampering.”
Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray is seeking the death penalty against Robinson .
