SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Sun Prairie Area School District announced on Tuesday a new acting principal at Sun Prairie West High School.
In a letter sent to families, the district announced that Peg Shoemaker, a recently retired principal with 40 years of experience, will take over as acting principal. Shoemaker retired in June 2025 after serving as principal of Middleton High School for six years.
Shoemaker will be taking over for Associate Principal Ed Ford , who had been serving as acting principal for two weeks. Ford was stepping in for Principal Jennifer Ploeger. He will resume his associate principal duties.
