BOISE, Idaho – Governor Brad Little and Secretary of State Phil McGrane announced on Tuesday that the month of September will be recognized as National Voter Registration Month, while September 16 was selected to be National Voter Registration Day.

The aim of this decision is to encourage all eligible citizens to register to vote or update their existing registration.

“Local elections are an opportunity for Idahoans to shape the future of their communities,” McGrane said. “With the November 4th Consolidated Election coming up this November, we want every voter to feel confident and prepared. I appreciate Governor Little for highlighting this important moment and for joining us in encouraging participation statewide.”
