LOS ANGELES – After two pedestrians were killed after being hit by the Metro A (Blue) Line train in downtown Los Angeles last week, the transit agency reported a Metro E (Exposition) Line train derailed under the 7th Street/Metro Center station.

It was unclear what caused the derailment, which occurred shortly after 3 p.m. at the station near Seventh and Flower streets. It was also unknown how many people were on the train at the time.

Video from the station showed the affected train still upright. The Metro A and E lines use the affected tracks at the station, but it was unclear which line the derailed train was on.
