The memory of longtime community advocate Jamie Bramburger will be honoured this fall with a charity hockey game at the Pembroke Memorial Centre.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m., the Pembroke Lumber Kings Alumni will take on a team of Algonquin College teachers and staff in a special fundraising matchup. The Jamie Bramburger Fall Classic pays tribute to Bramburger, whose decades of work in sports, education, and community development left a lasting mark on the Ottawa Valley.

Bramburger was well known as the voice of the Pembroke Lumber Kings, spending years as the play-by-play announcer for the Junior A club. Beyond the rink, he was a fixture at Algonquin College’s Pembroke Campus, where he was the manager of Community and Student Affairs, helping to build strong ties between the college
