Tyler Robinson, accused of killing Charlie Kirk, appeared virtually for his first court hearing since being formally charged with aggravated murder and other charges earlier today. Robinson will remain in custody without bail.

The judge granted a pre-trial protective order for Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk.

According to charging documents, Robinson allegedly confessed to the killing in messages sent to his roommate after the attack.

Prosecutors have announced they will seek the death penalty in this case.

The next hearing for Robinson is scheduled for September 29.
