STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Four Staten Island residents have been charged by federal authorities in a 23-count indictment with allegedly trafficking dozens of illegal firearms and distributing narcotics across New York and New Jersey, according to court documents unsealed in Brooklyn Federal Court on Tuesday.

The defendants allegedly sold 37 illegal firearms on Staten Island, in the Bronx and in New Jersey between August 2022 and August 2025, with many of the sales occurring in broad daylight in residential areas, prosecutors contend.
