INDIANAPOLIS — Affordable housing options are a must for many people with the rising costs of nearly everything. That's why there's now a new low-income apartment complex open near Fall Creek and Keystone in Indianapolis.

Forty Six Flats Apartments, located at 2511 E. 46th Street, offers one- and two-bedroom units.

"We think it's a transformative project that's providing 173 homes to Individuals making between 50 and 60% of the area median income," said Matt Gadus with House Investments.

On Tuesday, Mayor Joe Hogsett joined other city leaders to officially celebrate the opening of the apartment units. Tenants moved in earlier this year. House Investments partnered with the city and Affordable Housing Incorporated to help get the project up and running.
