COLUMBUS, Ohio — St. Edward and Kirtland remain Northeast Ohio’s two No. 1-ranked teams in the second Associated Press state poll, released Tuesday by the organization after a survey of writers across the state.
The Eagles (4-0) received 16 first-place votes, more than double of what they got a week ago, following a 28-14 win against Glenville.
The Tarblooders (2-2) are sixth in Division IV, despite four first-place votes. One of those top votes came from cleveland.com, which posted its state rankings earlier Tuesday.
Kirtland (4-0) received 15 first-place votes in Division VI and has a sizable lead in that classification.
