OU's R Mason Thomas to miss first half vs Auburn for targeting

NORMAN — As expected, OU football defensive end R Mason Thomas lost his appeal following a targeting call and will miss the first half of the Sooners' contest against Auburn on Saturday .

The play, which came in the third quarter of the Sooners ' win over Temple, was initially ruled a roughing the passer penalty, but was reviewed and deemed targeting.
