SARDIS CITY, Ala. ( WAFF ) - A Sardis City teen was killed in a head-on crash between an ATV and a truck over the weekend.

Branson Peppers, a 15-year-old, was fatally injured in the crash when the ATV they were driving collided head-on with a truck driven by a 16-year-old.

His family, teammates, and coaches spoke to 48 News following the crash on Monday.

His parents said Branson always shared his faith and that he had a message that he would want to live on:

“Number eight, Jesus saves.”

The message and the purpose of his life is that he loved Jesus, he loved Jesus Christ," Jason Peppers, Branson’s father, said.

“He had a message to send out to all the youth on his backplate, number eight, Jesus saves,” Peppers said.
