Anthony Santander is struggling to gain much momentum with the bat as he tries to make a case to be part of a major-league playoff run.

The Toronto Blue Jays outfielder went one-for-five with a single and two strikeouts for the triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday against the visiting Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

It was the fifth rehab game as a designated hitter for Santander, who has been out of the MLB lineup with a shoulder injury since May 29.

Santander is slashing .222/.364/.444 with one homer and two RBIs in 18 at-bats for Buffalo.

Before hitting the injured list, Santander was slashing .179/.273/.304 with six homers in 50 games for the Blue Jays.
