MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A former Packer was in Madison on Tuesday to raise awareness for a good cause.

Mason Crosby and his wife Molly, who is a cancer survivor, made a visit to Madison as they were headlining the Andy North and Friends Luncheon.

All the proceeds from the event will go toward cancer research at the UW Health Carbone Cancer Center.

Crosby said he’s happy to be a part of a cause that hits close to home. His wife survived a rare lung cancer tumor in 2019.

“To be able to pay it forward and continue to do the work, so you know it’s not going to end you know obviously, we’re searching for cures,” Crosby said.

Since its inception in 2009, Andy North and Friends has raised more than $20 million for the UW Carbone Cancer Center in Madison.
