ENGLAND, Ark. — More than five decades after being placed under federal desegregation orders, the England School District updated the community Tuesday night on its efforts to reach unitary status and eventually end court supervision.
The board meeting served as both a presentation and a forum for public input, as district leaders outlined ongoing work under a long-standing consent decree in the case United States v. Cotton Plant School District #1, et al.
