LIBERTY CITY, Texas — The suspect in the fatal shootings of a father and daughter in Liberty City has been booked into the Gregg County Jail on two murder charges.

Christopher Wayne Hicks Jr., 18, was processed at the jail Tuesday on bonds totaling $2 million, according to court records.

The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office named Hicks as the suspect in the Sept. 1 shooting of his girlfriend, 16-year-old Hailey Nicole Blake, and her father, 49-year-old Shawn Glen Blake, at Hugh Camp Memorial Park in Liberty City. The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office.
