MIDDLETOWN — When he saw the ball punched into the air, Oakdale junior Josh Gaskill knew he just had to go for it.

As the clock ticked under two minutes left in double overtime, Gaskill and his Bears teammates figured this was likely their last, best chance at securing a winner rather than settling for a draw.
