WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) — Students and community members gathered Tuesday night at Wichita State University for a candlelight vigil honoring conservative activist Charlie Kirk , who was shot and killed last week in Utah.

Kirk, 30, died Sept. 10 after a shooting at Utah Valley University in Orem. The Wichita State chapter of Turning Point USA organized the event outside the east entrance of the Rhatigan Student Center.
