A plane stopped its takeoff at Boston Logan International Airport Tuesday afternoon after flames and smoke spurted from the back of the aircraft, a video captured by Boston25 News shows.

Swiss International Air Lines Flight 55, headed to Zurich, Switzerland, halted its takeoff around 6:25 p.m. due to “engine issues,” according to the Federal Aviation Administration .

The FAA also briefly paused some arrivals to the airport before the plane taxied off the runway, the administration said in a statement.

“The Swiss aircraft returned to Logan for a report of a loud noise,” a Massachusetts Port Authority spokesperson said. “There were no injuries.”

Both Massport and the FAA directed further inquiries to the airline.

SWISS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
