TYLER, Texas — A serious car crash in Tyler on Saturday turned into a moment of hope when two strangers rushed to help the driver.
After the wreck, Karissa Gibson was aided by bystanders who kept her calm until help arrived. A Facebook post helped reunite one of the strangers, turning a fearful moment into a powerful reminder of everyday kindness.
After working a night shift, Gibson was on her way to the theatre to catch a late movie.
“The next thing I know, I see lights, and then I hear people banging on my door,” Gibson said.
Gibson had been in a serious wreck near Loop 323 and Broadway in Tyler. Disoriented and frightened, she didn't know where she was or how she got there. But strangers stepped in to help.
“It was something that you don't see people do often,” she said.
