TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Maclay Marauders are one of the Big Bend’s hottest teams. The guys are undefeated at 4-0 on the year. Their latest win? A gutsy one, a come from behind overtime victory over Valwood.
What’s even more remarkable is the Marauders are doing all this with new faces on both sides of the football, and a new head coach.
“We talk all the time we have to finish, we have to be violent, we have to be physical,” said Arie Slone, who took over the reins of the program after the departure of Jason Cauley. “We’re at a point like you said where things really count, things really matter. We have to make it our goal to every Friday to be the most physical team out there.”
