The Golden State Warriors continue to stand firm in their position with Jonathan Kuminga. Team owner Joe Lacob even flew to Miami to hold a personal conversation with the young forward. Despite the gesture, Kuminga stayed firm in his belief about his value and future in the league.
While Lacob has shown unwavering support, the relationship between Kuminga and head coach Steve Kerr appears fractured. ESPN’s Tim MacMahon revealed on NBA Today that the disconnect runs deep on both sides.
“Steve Kerr doesn’t want Kuminga. Kuminga doesn’t want to play for the Warriors, in part because he knows the coach doesn’t want him. There’s going to be a divorce eventually. Let’s stay together for the kids. I’ve lived that. I’ve lived with my ex-wife for a year after we three did a divorce for the kids,”
