Dominic Canzone did something Tuesday, Sept. 16 for the Seattle Mariners that not even his All-Star teammate and MVP candidate Cal Raleigh has managed.

Canzone, a Walsh Jesuit High School graduate , hit three home runs in the Mariners' 12-5 win at the Kansas City Royals .

It was Seattle's 10th straight win, as the Mariners (83-68) have gone from 3.5 games back in the American League West in this stretch to leading the division by a game.

Canzone had the first three-home run game by a Mariner since Kyle Seger did it in 2019.

Not bad for a guy who entered the game with 21 career home runs over his three-year MLB career.

Canzone went 5-for-5 in the game with four runs and four RBIs. He has 10 homers this season and is hitting .304 in 214 at-bats.
