GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say they’re mourning the loss of one of their own.

Sheriff’s officials are expressing condolences to the family of retired deputy Farnell “Farney” Cole.

He started with ASO in 1978 and retired in 2007 as a detective.

He then served as an intelligence analyst for project safe neighborhoods and retired a second time in 2018.
