Officials in Wellington recently agreed to pay nearly $200,000 to consulting firm Felsburg Holt & Ullevig Inc. to create the town’s first-ever transportation and mobility master plan and to conduct an impact fee study.

Of the total amount, developers of the planned Sage Farms development contributed $100,000, according to town materials. Work on the new Sage Farms neighborhood three miles south of downtown is expected to start this fall, with 241 single-family homes approved on the 293.5-acre parcel.

Consultants are expected to use Larimer County street design standards and multi-modal transportation concepts when looking at current roads and transportation, according to Wellington town planner Britney Lenoir, who spoke at a recent public meeting about the plan. Greenwood Village-based F
