ST. IGNACE — Owen Baij rushed for three touchdowns while Kaleb LaPine ran for two to lead the UPSSA eight-player No. 2 Norway Knights to a 40-6 throttling of St. Ignace on Friday night.

“It was a good road win for our football team,” Norway coach Andrew Mendina said. “We went up against a good 2-0 St. Ignace team, but our guys came to play in all phases of the game.”

Baij rushed for consecutive 17-yard TD runs in the first quarter with Josh Schiltz adding the 2-point conversion runs to put the Knights up 16-0. LaPine then followed with a 10-yard TD run, and after Baij ran in the conversion, Norway led 24-0.

That score remained until the third quarter when Baij scored his third touchdown on a 5-yarder and then ran in the conversion to give his team a 32-0 advantage heading into the fourt
