CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A police investigation is underway after two people were shot and critically hurt in Over-the-Rhine, according to Cincinnati police.

It happened in the 100 block of East McMicken Avenue just before 5:30 p.m., said Lt. Jonathan Cunningham, police spokesman.

That’s near the intersection of Walnut Street by Grant Park.

Two people were found shot and were transported to the hospital, he said.

No arrests were made.

No suspect information was released, and police did not say what led up to the gunfire.

They also have not released the victims’ ages.

Investigators said early Wednesday they had no updates.
