Nicolas Jackson’s summer was anything but quiet.

The Senegal striker left Chelsea on deadline day to join Bayern Munich in a dramatic loan deal, and the Champions League draw wasted no time in throwing him straight back into his old world.

His new club will host Chelsea on Wednesday, setting the stage for an emotional return.

The 24-year-old admitted he could not believe his luck when he first saw the draw. “I was in London. When I saw it I was like: fun game, I have to be ready for that,” Jackson said.

“We’re playing against nice teams: my former club Chelsea, we’re playing against [Paris Saint-Germain] and many good clubs. Hopefully we’ll get amazing results.”
