Shane Lowry to join Ryder Cup teammates McIlroy, Hovland and Fleetwood in India Championship

Shane Lowry will join European teammates Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland and Tommy Fleetwood in the $4million DP World India Championship this October.

The Ryder Cup quartet will seek to outgun local hero Shubhankar Sharma at Delhi Golf Club from October 16-19.

The event boasts the largest prize fund for a DP World Tour event in India.

Major winner Lowry, who lifted the Claret Jug at Royal Portrush in 2019, will make his third consecutive Ryder Cup appearance next week, as Team Europe aim to defend the trophy they won in Rome two years ago.

The Delhi event could also represent Lowry’s last chance to make the top 70 in the Race to Dubai who qualify for the first DP Wo
