BOSTON (WWLP) - A grand jury has indicted seven individuals in connection with a kidnapping and torture case that occurred in Boston back in February.

NBC Boston states that federal prosecutors allege that the suspects kidnapped a person and demanded ransom through a video call, during which they showed the victim being tortured. The suspects reportedly collected thousands of dollars and a Rolex watch from the victim's spouse and another friend before releasing the victim the following day.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the suspects could face life imprisonment and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.

The FBI has arrested five of the suspects, while two remain at large. Authorities are continuing their efforts to locate the remaining individuals involved in the case.
