FBI Director Kash Patel testified before senators on Tuesday, facing criticism from Democrats and support from Republicans over his leadership and handling of investigations, including the Charlie Kirk assassination.

Some Democrats criticized Patel for politicizing the FBI and questioned if he is the right person to lead the nation's premier federal law enforcement agency.

Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey said, "I believe you have made our country weaker and less safe."
