A MUM who allegedly let alligators maul her 12-year-old son to death has now been accused of giving her newborn baby cocaine.

Hilda Vasquez was arrested after her son Bryan was found submerged in a lagoon surrounded by gators - with the 34-year-old now being dubbed a "danger to society".

The terrifying reptile attack unfolded in New Orleans East, before Bryan's body was recovered from the water on August 26.

Vasquez was charged with second-degree cruelty to a juvenile and negligent homicide.

But in a shocking twist, prosecutors have now claimed in court that Vasquez is a danger to society due to several instances of alleged child abuse.

They said on Monday that Vasquez and her newborn baby tested positive for cocaine in July, citing a social services probe.
