Part 1 crimes — including aggravated assault, homicide, and robberies — may be declining in the city of Pueblo, but vandalism has risen 10% between 2024 and 2025.

During a Sept. 15 Pueblo City Council work session, Councilor Sarah Martinez presented a plan with Pueblo Police Chief Chris Noeller to help small businesses victimized by vandals pay for door and window repairs. This plan calls for a $50,000 investment from Pueblo city government to create a "mini-grant program" doling out up to $1,000 grants to up to 50 businesses in the city's commercial districts.
