Textured surfaces are having a moment right now in design—from fluted ceramic tiles to gritty cement slabs and rippled grasscloth wallpaper—and they add so much dimension to a space. In the kids room of the REAL SIMPLE Home penthouse, designer Candace Griffin of Candace Mary Interiors hung checkered grasscloth wallpaper and installed a reeded panel painted in a gorgeous navy blue hue ( Night View 4007-4C by Valspar).
