JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say one person was taken to the hospital after a crash in Jamestown Township Wednesday morning.
It happened around 7:05 a.m. in the area of 24th Avenue and Perry Street.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, a GMC Sierra was heading north when the driver — an 18-year-old Hudsonville man — saw a deer, swerved into the southbound lane to avoid the deer and then got back into the northbound lane.
At the same time, a 25-year-old Hamilton woman was heading south in a Volvo station wagon. When she saw the northbound GMC Sierra swerve into the southbound lane, she swerved into the northbound lane, deputies said.
The two vehicles crashed in the northbound lane and rolled, according to the sheriff's office.
