PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The West Michigan Whitecaps and their newly earned Midwest League championship trophy are returning to West Michigan Wednesday night.

The team says their buses are expected to return between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Wednesday and are encouraging fans to come out and celebrate.

“Caps fans who want to come out and give them the hero’s welcome are invited,” the team said in a social media post. “Hope to see a lot of you there to cheer like mad as the 2025 Midwest League Champs arrive!”

Fans can park in LMCU Ballpark’s “south lot” and gather by the team entrance outside the new clubhouse.

The Whitecaps beat the Cedar Rapids Kernels 3-1 Tuesday night to complete their playoff sweep and earn the Midwest League title.
