LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - There’s a traffic alert for drivers in Lexington.

Lexwrecks reports a section of Iron Works Pike is shut down after a dump truck overturned.

The crash happened between Russell Cave Road and Mt. Horeb Pike. Officials say the truck tipped onto its side, spilling a large amount of gravel across the roadway.

Both directions of Iron Works Pike are closed.

Avoid the area if you can.
