FOWLERVILLE, Mich. (WILX) - At its meeting Tuesday night, the Fowlerville Community Schools Board of Education voted to continue providing free meals to all students through October 31.
This decision ensures that students will continue receiving free meals even if the State of Michigan does not adopt a budget by the September 30 deadline, or if the final state budget does not include continued funding for universal free meals.
As of now, the State has not adopted a 2025-26 school budget. One of the key unresolved issues is whether the Michigan School Meals program will be extended.
