The trial of two brothers from Manchester who have been accused of killing a young dad in a crash has collapsed after the jury was discharged.

Father-of-two Rhys Jenkins, 41, died in a crash on the A483 in Wales in November last year.

His nine-year-old son, Ioan, was in the car with him and suffered a serious head injury in the collision.

Abubakr Ben Yusaf, 29, and his brother Umar Ben Yusaf, 34, both denied causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The trial into the case has been going on for eight days at Mold Crown Court. However, in a dramatic turn of events, today (September 17) a judge, His Honour Simon Mills, discharged the jury for legal reasons.
