Matthew Bertram, 31, of Lambertville was arraigned on seven counts on Monday, Sept. 8, after being arrested following a police chase involving three children .

Bertram's charges include two counts of fleeing and eluding a police officer in the third-degree, two counts of resisting and obstructing, and three counts of child abuse in the fourth-degree. According to Monroe County Prosecutor Jeffery Yorkey, his is next set to appear in Judge Amanda Eicher's court for a probable cause conference at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

His cash surety bond was set at $5,000. According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office , it has since been posted.
