NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- The community council reviewing the Caesars Palace application in Times Square has voted not to advance the application.
The application for the West Side will be heard next.
The Community Advisory Committee is reviewing each casino application. It must gauge local support and "issue a finding determining whether there is adequate support for the proposed project."
Then, the state's gaming commission will review the community council recommendations.
According to state rules, the affirmative finding is a requirement for the application to be considered by the Gaming Facility Review Board.
