Officials in Manchester, New Hampshire, issued a warning this week about a recent uptick in carfentanil overdose deaths in their city.
The Manchester police and health departments sent out an email alert Wednesday about what they described as "a dangerous drug trend that is taking the lives of New Hampshire residents."

According to the state medical examiner's office, carfentanil has contributed to 10 deaths in New Hampshire this year, including three in Manchester alone. That's already more than last year's total of seven carfentanil-related deaths.
