A 26-year-old woman testified Tuesday that the man she called her “money manager” — her alleged pimp — withheld food, broke her ribs and confiscated her cellphone so she couldn’t talk to others during their months-long stay in a Southfield motel.

The witness, who is White, said Antoine Fulgiam of Detroit, an African American, also had a strict rule governing with whom she could have sex, according to her testimony during a preliminary examination in Southfield’s 46th District Court.

“He wouldn’t let me do dates with Black guys,” said the witness, whose name is being withheld by The Detroit News because of the sensitive nature of her testimony.
