A week-long trial in Macomb County Circuit Court ended Wednesday morning with a jury finding Stephen Freeman guilty of murdering Gabriele Seitz in her Roseville apartment.

Freeman was charged with first-degree premeditated murder, second-degree criminal sexual conduct, and first-degree home invasion and was found guilty of all charges.

“Today’s verdict delivers justice for the victim and her family,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido. “This young man’s actions were brutal, deliberate, and have left lasting scars on our community.

“While no conviction can erase the pain and loss suffered, we hope this outcome provides a measure of closure. I am grateful to the jurors for their careful consideration of the evidence.”
