A motorcyclist killed in crash was identified Wednesday by the Allen County Coroner's Office.

Jacob Taylor Kharbas, 22, of Fort Wayne was pronounced dead at the scene of the Rothman Road crash by East Central Fire and EMS. The cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries sustained from a crash with a car, the coroner's office said in a news release. The manner of death is accident.

Kharbas is the 33rd traffic fatality in 2025 in Allen County.

Witnesses said the motorcycle rider was traveling west on Platter Road, approaching the intersection with Rothman, when it passed an uninvolved vehicle. The driver was speeding when approaching the curve on Rothman east of Milan Center Road, according to an Allen County Sheriff's Department news release this week.
