(WTAJ) -- Thursday, Sept. 18, is National Cheeseburger Day, and McDonald's is offering 50-cent double cheeseburgers.

Some of you might remember the late 1990s and early 2000s when McDonald's offered 49-cent cheeseburgers on Sundays. Well, for National Cheeseburger Day, they're going to "double" that millennial offer.

On Thursday, Sept. 18, you'll be able to get the 50-cent offer for a double cheeseburger, but only through the McDonald's app at participating locations. The central Pennsylvania locations include stores in Johnstown and Altoona.
