Max Domi’s participation in the early part of Maple Leafs training camp will be limited, said GM Brad Treliving, after the forward “tweaked” something over the past few days.

“He has a lower body injury,” said Treliving in a meet-the-media greeting to kick off training camp. “We anticipate it’s day to day. We anticipate he’s probably not going to practice in full tomorrow (Thursday), but hopefully shortly thereafter he will be good to go.”

Domi was the only one of the 73 players who reported for medical and fitness training who won’t be good enough go in full when training for the team’s 108th season begins Thursday.

It’s somewhat of an early setback since Domi was expected to start camp on the top line, replacing Mitch Marner on a line with Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies.
