MUNCIE, IN — The Delaware County commissioners on Wednesday issued an emergency burn ban.

The commissioners — Stephen Brand, Shannon Henry and Sherry Riggin — cited "ongoing severe drought conditions" in issuing an emergency declaration placing restrictions on "outside burning to reduce the risk of wildfires."

According to a news release, the following activities are prohibited in Delaware County while the ban is in effect:
